Shakespeare Animal Fund: Helping More Animals in Need
As pet owners, we all know the joy and love that our furry companions bring into our lives. They are our family, and we would do anything to make sure they are healthy and happy. However, sometimes unexpected accidents or illnesses happen, and the cost of emergency veterinary care can be overwhelming. This is where Shakespeare Animal Fund comes in.
Shakespeare Animal Fund is a non-profit organization that helps pet owners in northern Nevada with emergency veterinary bills due to accidents, sickness, and other emergencies. They serve elderly, disabled, returning veterans, and low-income individuals who find themselves in an emergency situation without the funds to get the help their pets desperately need. Since our inception in 2004, they have raised more than a million dollars to help thousands of animals, primarily dogs and cats.
My personal success stories is Sebastian, my sweet 33 pound shih tzu who needed medical attention for an emergency skin situation. I was truly scared and worried and felt Sebastian was becoming worse by the moment and they were able to send the money directly to my personal vet quickly. Thanks to their support, Sebastian was able to receive the treatment he needed and make a full recovery and was given proper care .
